Edgewood Consulting Group
Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026
This policy explains what Edgewood Consulting Group collects about the professionals it contacts and the visitors to this website, why we collect it, whom we share it with and what you can ask of us. It applies to this website and to the business emails, calls and letters we send.
1.Who we are
Edgewood Consulting Group is a sales and marketing strategy and analytics consultancy. We advise consumer packaged goods manufacturers and retailers on assortment, pricing, trade promotion, net revenue management and shopper research, and our consultants carry that work through to implementation with the retailer.
Our postal address is:
Edgewood Consulting Group
1719 State Route 10, Suite 226, Parsippany, NJ 07054
This policy covers this website and the business correspondence we send, including email, occasional telephone calls and letters addressed to a place of business. It does not cover the websites we link to, which are governed by their own policies.
2.How we reach out
We write to people whose roles at a manufacturer or retailer relate to the work we do, for example in category management, sales, shopper insights, brand management and net revenue management. We use the work email address and, from time to time, the business telephone number or the employer's postal address.
We contact a person only when we have reason to believe the work could be relevant to their responsibilities. We stop as soon as they ask, in the way described in section 6.
3.The information we hold
Depending on how we came across you and whether we have corresponded, we may hold the following.
- Business contact details. Name, job title, employer, work email address, business telephone number and a link to a professional profile, where these are available.
- Company information. What the employer makes or sells, its approximate size, its markets and the retail channels in which it operates.
- Public business activity. Job postings, news coverage and public professional posts that indicate whether our work is relevant to the company.
- Deliverability checks. Before we send to an email address we check whether it is likely to accept mail, and we keep the result of that check.
- Correspondence and notes. Replies, notes from meetings and calls, and a record of what has been discussed.
- Website visits. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The company that hosts it keeps standard technical logs, such as the IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser type, for security and operations. The pages load a typeface from a font service, which receives the visitor's IP address in order to serve the font files.
We do not seek or hold sensitive personal information, such as health details, financial account numbers, government identifiers or biometric data, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
4.Where it comes from
- Public sources. Company websites, job boards, news outlets and professional networking profiles.
- Commercial business-data providers. Companies that compile and license professional contact and company records.
- You. When you reply to us, complete a form on our main website or speak with us.
5.How we use it
- To judge whether our services are relevant to a person's role and employer before we make contact.
- To contact that person at work about services that relate to their responsibilities.
- To confirm that an email address is valid before we send to it, so that we avoid sending to addresses that will bounce.
- To reply to you and, when you ask, to discuss, propose or provide our services.
- To maintain a do-not-contact list so that a request to stop is honored.
- To protect the security of our systems and to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not use tracking pixels or similar techniques in our business emails to record whether a message has been opened.
6.Asking us to stop
Reply to any email from us, in any words, and we will stop. No form has to be completed and no particular wording is required. If we have telephoned you, tell the caller.
We act promptly and always within 10 business days. Your name and contact details are then placed on a do-not-contact list, which we keep so that you are not contacted again even if your details later reach us from a different source.
7.Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it so that other companies can market to you or serve you targeted advertising.
We share personal information only in the following cases.
- Service providers acting for us. Email sending and mailbox providers, address verification services, business-data providers, and hosting and storage providers. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- Public authorities. When the law requires disclosure, or when disclosure is needed to protect our rights or property or the safety of any person.
- A buyer or successor. If our business, or the relevant part of it, is sold, merged or reorganized. The buyer or successor is bound by this policy in respect of the information transferred.
8.How long we keep it
Records about the people and companies we contact are kept while they remain useful for the purposes described above, and records that have gone out of date are removed. Records relating to clients are kept for as long as the engagement and our legal and accounting duties require.
Entries on the do-not-contact list are kept for as long as we contact businesses, because removing an entry would risk contacting that person again.
9.How we protect it
Access to the information we hold is limited to the people who need it for the purposes described here. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the kind of information involved. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
10.Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you and where it came from. You can ask us to correct it, and you can ask us to delete it. When we delete your information we keep the do-not-contact entry, because that entry is how we make sure you are not contacted again.
Depending on where you live, state law may give you further rights, including the right to know what is collected, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you are welcome to make the request. We will not treat you differently for exercising any right.
To make a request, reply to any email we have sent you, use the contact form at edgewoodcg.com/contact, or write to the postal address in section 14. Before acting on a request we may confirm that it comes from the email address we contacted. We respond within the time the applicable law allows. A person authorized to act for you may make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for evidence of that authorization.
11.Minors
Our services are for businesses, and our correspondence is addressed to people in their professional roles. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you believe we hold such information, contact us and we will delete it.
12.Where we operate
Edgewood Consulting Group is based in the United States and contacts businesses that operate there. The service providers named in section 7 may process information in the United States or wherever they operate.
13.Changes to this policy
We revise this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect.
